     California Winter's Meal

She woke to day with morning paper eyes
sliding with just a twist of wrist
across winter into warm of day to be
the envy of the cold and clothed gray mist

As one who would shake her green eyed glass
across the lip of stone to perch and see
the gathering of birds all talk of feather
across a lake of green she paid her fee

Twas mellow called in slap of water darned
to the aluminum jewel stitched with coarser eye
then one who gathered colors and tossed to air
the soulful glide now mated with the sky

Could any day be caught with silver line
held with loosened touch it comes unglued
and casting into shadows underneath
will bring up silver warm vicissitude

And so the fisherman took to golden day
believing that come evening she could count
time blessed with what she thought was needed food
was found much better tasting less the trout

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Martie, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I feel much better also at peace leaving the inhabitants of the sea at peace and just drinking the sun! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

What is it with all the FISH poems all-a-sudden?  hehehe

If the time we spend alone, is worth the effort
it took to cook the meal,
solitude is a core of bone,
it's the lesser of fantasty
and more of real

This is dangerously deep, Martie!
But the reward is in the effort, as always.

Martie~
You should go fishing more often, my friend.
I absolutely LOVE this...so perfectly beautiful.
You got me with the first line and I was hooked
all the way through.  I just can't say enough
about how much I love this.
Wonderfully penned as always, friend.
Hugs,
~Vicky
