Amazing!

I sit
within the center
of this rosette sky

I marvel at its beauty
and find I wonder why
we should receive
such a wondrous gift
when none of us is worthy
for one ounce of it

yet
He gives it
anyway

And too...

He gives the rain
of which
we misperceive
seeing only gray
and turning of the leaves

so often
we forget
the loveliness afford
within the tiny raindrop
in rain and sun’s accord

the glistening of color
in each blossoming ray
the quenching of our thirst
quelled within the day

sometimes it’s hard to see
the beauty He bestows
for we focus on the thorn
instead of on the rose

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia, I went to the other post, but saw that it was here now.
I liked the second part, too. You are a very talented writer.
I love to read your poetry.

Absolutely, ~none~ are worthy....

This is an excellant truth as I know it. You wrote it perfectly. Thank you for this.

Warm regards, Pat
