Randy Things

My Randy woke to the wings of doves
Pings and echoes of former loves
And a smile raced across his face
Of roses and mantilla lace.

His eyes took on a smoky stare
To mist the confines of his lair
For hiding in the shadows deep
Were the phantoms of his sweep?

He blinked his eyes to clear the shroud
The loss of memory and the cloud
And they’re before him like a list
Where the ecstasies of his mist

And on his lid there washed a tear
The sorrow of his lost endear
That sent his blood in gushing force
Tumbling down a bygone course.

And he sobbed a roar of fire
At his age and forced retire.

Seymour, you are indeed a gifted man.

No wonder he's exhausted.

morning hugs with coffee giggles.

Loved this.

Sy,

If this is what you call retirement, with all the wonderful poems you provide, on a daily basis, then I'm sure glad you and Randy are taking it easy.   Enjoyed much, thanking you as ever for sharing with us, your talent. Warm regards, Pat

My dear Maureen,
There is a Randy in each of us.
Randy - salacious, sexy, lustful, hot,
lickerish, libidinous, horny, erotic
and it goes on and on. LOL

Mr. Seymour, as always I loved your poem this morning with my Cappuccino...
But, the definition of "Randy" was delightful. I thank Maureen
for asking you, because I've been wondering, too.....HeeHee!!
(and, I do believe we all have a "Randy" in us...some more, some less.....)
