As than the winds can blow Upon my face. A gentle breeze never caresses When the fresh wintry air behind it Chills the bone. No, that simple breeze Cuts apart flesh. And all the body screams inside From the torture. Can you feel it? Can you feel the ice Against your chest? Soon it will consume you, And you’ll be able to do none But attempt to hide From its grappling hold. Your too weak, You’ll never make it. The ice slows down Your breathing as you gasp. A spatter; a cough; And your lifeless body Lay for the world to see And the frost to eat. The wind will blow around you And rejoice as it watches Yea… just as this bitter chill, So do thoughts and the world, Consume one’s mind. - And so it was that time stood still - |
