And if I weren't gritty
Would you have still wanted me?
Down to earth I am
Down to earth is where you
Found me
& for a while, did I
Not please you?

I am flawed

Like so many others before
Enamored or awed by
The image of rainbows
& Mystery
You've finally arrived
At me

But don't be

Terribly disappointed
You were sweeter than
Rain washed skies

To me,
You were more than
A carefully constructed
phrase in time or space
More than white candles
Or lace praises that with
a click can disappear like
confessions on a deaf ear

See, I favored us both
& swore an oath
To let it all float softly
Down to earth & settle

Here...

Sunkissed, I love the flow of this and the way that it settled in my mind.  Lovely write.

I am flawed, also but I guess it's a take me or leave me thing.
I loved it all...*s
