Bob-o-Link

A bob-o-link sang in glee
It cannot wink but winked at me.
It wore the sarong of a leaf
And sang a song of disbelief.

It seemed to be a little coy
I listened with a heart of joy
And whistled back as best I could
And wished a wish it understood.

Moment’s paused then sang again
That sounded like a samisen
We did a duo in the morn
To greet the day as it was born.

And glory stopped a moment’s pause
In silence and without applause
And placed this moment’s revelry
Deep within my memory

This is the stay that paves my way
The touché drip of my decay

Seymour darling heart, don’t look now but you’ve written something incredible again. This is a beautiful morning song and I love it utterly, this being one of those rare days I’ve managed to get myself in here, I’ve had my soul refreshed. Truly this is exquisite writing, as always you pass all expectation and lift your poem to the realms of real beauty. I love it utterly utterly utterly

Ah this is so pretty Sy.
I miss hearing the birds sing during the winter.
Maybe that's part of what makes spring so special!

A raggedy doll?    Thanx for the dictionary,
I surely needed one with that one word...
But that is not unusual...you seem to sneak
little stinkers in on us all the time...

Yet another of your smiling writes..thanx
my friend...

I missed this yesterday but am so glad I found it this morning.

There is nothing more pleasant to the ear than the sound of happy birds chirping. My poor little ones are freezing and can barely find their feeder with all the snow. Yet, despite harsh conditions, they continue to sing. A lesson for all of us, perhaps!

Hugs, Marti

Wonderfully lilting and thanks for doing the dictionary work on samisen...now I don't have to try to find it.
