I try,
Colour runs dry from my tongue.
I cant describe what i feel to be there,
and here,

is where the eyes first met the light,
upon opening the lashes of love,
like a curtain unfolding in breeze

greedy

i rewind the memory with bliss

but

i cant contain longing and want
when thinking of innocent moments in dark
of love.

wanting more

you are my world in between where life lives

the pulse that revives me
when i am apart from you.

unexpected,
the world that i cannot conceive
added Us to the list of what i cant work out.

you are everthing that i knew i'd be waiting for
and all that i thought that could not.

the corners of your mouth curl,

and i am reminded of where my heart lies in my chest
it escapes me
and echoes a rhythm of trust,
this time,
when you know
it shows unto itself.

my earth,
groundbreaking footsteps you tread,
so gently,
sending the leaves into flight,
inspired,

root of tree,
escaping a life on the run,
thats how you ground me.

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.
