What A Maze

What a maze I walk in sorrow’s shade
As I watch your light falter then fade
There’s no hope on this sorrowing trail
It’s a slippery path into death dark vale
But I don’t regret this path I pace
I shan’t forget the joy of your soul’s trace
The touch of you will always fill me
With the light of love’s possibility

What labyrinthine ways I wander here
Beset by the touch of shadow’s fear
There’s no way past the pain for me
The place I walk is sorrows territory
But I’d not retract one moment of this
For it is the price of love’s true kiss
I’ve walked my days within love’s light
Now I’ll accept the coming of its night

What a tangled web that I’m meshed in
Enshrouded in a mist that clings within
This sign that shadow knows my name
That soon I won’t see true love’s flame
All around me will fade from view
And I will be alone without you
But this truth I know and I always will
That love knew me and I’d hold it still

When the night takes my love from me
Then I’ll stand in love’s shadow eternally

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Yes, exactly, and most of us have paid at least once.

Mushy,  never lose what you have...and never
let it die from your mind or pen...but, at
the same time...when that love is gone,  go
on...for I am sure they would want that too.

Beautiful, sad, filled with much truth...

An a-maze-ing truth you painted, depicting the twists, turns and dead ends that make up life. Brilliant!

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
