The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2003-01-03 02:51 PM

What shall we do in this, two thousand three?
Hold fast to dreams we've held throughout the years?
or from the ether shall we search anew
for sounds of love we never dared to hear?

What next, my friends? It seems peace is not close
and love is but a game we cannot play
But hope shall not be trampled in times dust
as black and white eventually turns gray.

Sandra - I guess that's why we have been given free will. Enjoyed. Chris

An interesting write, Sandra, made me think.  Nice to see you here.  You've been missed, my friend.  Hugs

the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Perhaps we distance all of our emotions
and smooth the fervor of our sweet devotions
and reaccess political notions
and failing that.....we take the final potion

(big hugggsssssss) I'm not so sure where I'm going this new year with my immediate adversity, but I will accept what happens as that is the only logical approach! (sad sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I wish you the best this year, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Hi Sandra, i liked the ambivalent tone in these two lines...may the new year be happy for you!
