Last night my eyes rested upon faces,
with matching wants and desires
within a fifty mile range.

I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled
only to see, I was well past the age of want
and not desirous at all.

Still, I continued, changing my range of search,
enlarging my view of faces, reading with disbelief
the strength of character exposed for all the world to see.

I wondered if there were such wonderful persons,
why are they on here seeking their soulmate
and then I laughed, wondering why I was curious enough
to be sitting here reading about them.

M,

Haven't been there or done that yet....but have read the ones in newspapers....it is a curious thing...
Yes, and you have to wonder why I do, and why they do.

Interesting poem. Something we've all done, one way or the other. Read though, not reply...I hope..smiling here, enjoyed.  Pat

I have to laugh at myself..there was even someone from New Freedom on the list and I was tempted to email and see who he was or if I knew him by another name...you know how pictures aren't necessarily up to date...in fact I think someone even used his high school yearbook picture and he said he was 50.
Was just a momentary lapse for me. I won't ever search again.

Maureen, this is just a fantastic write here...I'm sure all we single folk have been there, I know I have.
