In words
I draw
the map
of cause
elevations
swing with mood
Absurd?
I pause
in slip of claw
sliding
down the wall
monsoon
emoting
desperation
blind
to think
that life
is so unkind
while wrapped
in pretty paper?
NO--
I wish for
glitter
in the foil
dancing underneath
false lights...

take the can
and spray the pine
and let me sleep
in my belief
that the sun
will shine again
and not to my relief.

"Let it be", was better said,
by poets more profound than I--
Let the dead bury their dead--
Yanno?
I had to try.

"To be...or not to be?" Nope, I'll take your writing first! Love ya'.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Yes, Karen, I also love every word you write, even if I don't know how to reply to it. You are a very talented lady, friend.....

all there is to do is try and try again

Serenity~ To write of life and all it's ups and downs, truths and realities as you do touches on greatness when the reader connects with you and feels what you are saying to them.Your words scream out loud for release in this piece.Enjoyed...Paul

the day you stop trying...I'll be crying

profound? when you rhyme...your feet dont touch the ground.

Will the wind remember the names it has blown in the past?
With this crutch, its old age and wisdom, it whispers no ... this will be the last.

Gotta tell ya, this is one cool poem!

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Now why am I not responding to this before now?  In all truth, I've read it before, but I appreciate the bump by the poet before me for giving me a chance to find a quiet moment to

thank you...

and for NOT
letting some things be...
