Word Weavers

They heal with their words,
bringing light into the dark.
Within their messages are held
the universal truths
of life.
Hearts whisper across the pages
quilled in the ink of their pain
and the colors of
their joy.
There are moments shared
when hearts are bared
laid out on the line
in verse that bleeds
from the soul,
spilling onto pages
of yesterday and dreams
of tomorrow.
They speak in words
that flow from veins
that have lived life,
having conquered
and lost.....
warriors weaving words
while writing
their journals
in verses of rhyme
through poetry divine,
gifting to the world
glimpses into
the soul
of a poet........

Why do I feel as though I could have written
this?  Perhaps we share a common bond
in our feelings?  A common goal?

I think so...and you have said very elegantly,
very accurately exactly what I felt too...

Thanx for this piece of your inner self...

Donna--Poets are special, in that they can write emotion, not necessarily feel it any more than anyone else..they write it...and some read and say...ahhhh.

Donna, your words express the feelings of everyone who loves poetry. And you said it so well, too....

This is beautiful dear lady!

Some slight song of alliteration that slips this to the soul...as it should.

Perhaps the only difference between the poet and one that is not is the act of attempting to write it out rather than only hear the words inside...

Very well and beautifully said, Donna.

the morning star, still kiss the dawn

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Donna, I'm so sorry I haven't commented to this earlier and haven't e-mailed you the new stanza yet, I've been having trouble focusing with my loss on New Years and I promise soon I will have something new when I can think clear again! (sad sigh) This is lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
