It is said the mind immersed in self a thought so vain
I think clearer picture paints the sunlight after rain
For as I think about you I immerse into sweet care
To value and keep optimum of what we both will share

For when disrobed into your thought so tender with myself
Immersed in warm sweet bubble bath with candle on the shelf
The glow that radiant upon my skin reflect the smile I see
And gently of the scents rubbed in caress the full of me

As in the mirror I catch sight of the beauty of my face
In some artistic caption when my thoughts around you grace
And time must be allowed to do all that it does so well
From firm to soft so natural and all the best to tell

The satin of the robes I choose, not foolish or too much
I think in simple terms of pretty things beneath your touch
The way I keep my delicates, the way I wear my hair
Enough enhance of eyes and lips to let me linger there

It is said the mind immersed in self a thought so vain
And still you wander far from here without a lead or chain
The picture that I hold inside shows well upon my wear
The best of me to keep so well in sensual vision there

For you in wash all over me from finger tip to toe
In every way and intimate the best of love will show
As there are many ravages to steal that youthful glow
Yet wrapped within the thought of you the best of me to know

Like a soft breeze sighing among the pines
of forest green...The gentle swell of an
ocean wave,  flowing without the slightest
effort...

Beautiful write from your talented treasure
chest...

This is utterly precious. I like this so much from title to line:

"and still you wander far from here without a lead or chain"

Simply too many other lines to quote, the entire poem is special. Enjoyed!

Warm regards, Pat

TD

What a wonderful way to look in the mirror of self, as a gift to love, not vanity.  I do believe you could turn burlap into silk.  So beautifully done, with a soft overlay of sensuality.
