Behind the Crystal Ball

I stand over the balcony of the earth
Staring into the retina of the brightest star
Thinking over through this past year
Playing pipes to a thousand more Arabian nights

It can be so scary hanging on too tight
Seeing your wonderland behind the crystal ball
I see you dancing through the desert of my mind
Falling to your knees, begging for me to come and dance with you

It's so silent and cold outside
And I'm trying to figure out how to get inside
Wondering where I must go from here
Break the glass, break these mirrors, come to me please
The journey is long and it's hard to hold on
I swear love will always find a way

I'm homesick for the beaches where I can feel the sun
And pull my treasure chest from a foreign Atlantis
And lift you, my mermaid from your ocean and feel your hug
And everyday your sweet complimentary kiss
To drift with you on Pegasus

How I long to see beyond these years
I want to fly toward your sun and rest on a cloud
Inhale the anise from your garden of Eden
Find an ocean without the oil contaminating the safe and sound

It's so silent and cold outside
