Freedom (12/28/02rc)

It was always another night of twisted unsuccessful flight
It was always another day of trying to stay out of your way
Years spent planning my getaway

Tears turned to resentment
Always craving contentment
Anger turned to hate
I wouldn’t allow your addition to become my fate

You thought I would take it for life
And now you no longer have a wife
You blame it all on me
But that’s okay, because I am happier than I thought I had a right to be
So sleep with you beer buddy

~Cheers to 2002 and the freedom in divorce!~

Sounds like you are on your way to a happier, new life.

May you find peace and joy in this coming new year.

It's hard to pick up and leave everything you've ever know and freedom never comes easy as I well know. Congratulations for the courage to leave a hurtful situation and the strength to go on. I left a abusive marriage of 17 years 4 years ago on Jan 5th, my birthday present to myself(Jan 4th is my birthday) and although times haven't always been easy, I've never regreted my decision. If you ever need an open ear, please feel free to e-mail me .
Best wishes for a better New Year

I like the almost whimsical way this sad event is portrayed
