On New Year's Eve I thought to say goodbye to the old year
With pics I took around my house, landscape I hold so dear
I'll share with you the lights of sun, that soon will disappear
The willow trees in Winter's coat have lost their 'hair' I hear

In Sluis, a little town out West, where Muys is living too
Sun sank behind this belfry old, nice pic to share with you
I was on my way to say Hello to Mommy Muys indeed
She can't come to my house you see, they've packed her feet in neat

I came across this group of trees warmed up by sunlight's fall
They're standing tall, feet deep in soil and I? I love them all
It's typical for where I live to see those groups of trees
And mostly on the land in front is a gathering place for geeze

I saw the sun behind the trees, she colored the whole sky
I told you how I love this land and you can see now why
Hundreds of pictures I could take, just standing here I'll tell
So much beauty there's in nature, we should preserve it well

But most of all I just love the creeks in mirrored sunset's light
The water surface smooth like ice, shows trees ever so bright
The stillness one can feel around, makes me feel real small
On New Year's Eve I thought to share this beauty with you all

Cpat Hair, come over and I'll show you around my world

Garysgirl, thanks sweet lady, you always put a smile on my face

Denise, what a pleasure to see you again, I often think with warm memories back on our visit to the Raven. You take good care of that bird now.

Sunshine, you know I want to see your pictures sometime, glad I was your inspiration.

1slicklady, thanks dear, next time I'm in Florida we sure will meet.

Truly beautiful landscape and skies Titia. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. You are the 'Queen of Landscape Photo's at Passions.

These are stunning and breaktaking. I especially love the trees reflection in the water and the group of trees standing tall.

Hugs to you, your family and Mummy Muys.  Happy New Year...Loves, Marti

It's tough to pick the nicest line
Your pix are gorgeous, wish they were mine.
With each read the sense grows better
And so I send along this letter.

Thanks for kicking off a new year in great style.  KJ

Titia, everyone here is great, but as you see, I've been a member for a while, with not many posts. LOL  I don't have a lot of time online so it's hard to keep up with the posts, it's so busy here. I don't like to post when I don't have time to respond to others. I even find it that way at Pathways some times. Every now and then I pop back in though, and it's always nice to be here.

Jan, that's why I never saw you before. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Passing shadows, everywhere is beauty worth taken a picture of, as long as your mind is open to see it. It could be right there in front of you.

Martie, thanks, I like sharing my world.

ThisDiamond, glad I made your heart smile

Gentle Spirit, thanks dear.

Spirit, welcome to passions and thanks for your kind words.

Nan, I miss you dear and I miss Woods hole and Martha's Vineyard, time to come pay another visit I guess.

AWESOME! I think I might want to do an oil painting from one of these, the reflective one is so totally a mirror image, including what appears to be a jet's vapor trail...I'll call it a shooting star.
Thank you for sharing your New Year's view with us. I am delighted to see such fine photography, not to mention the poetry and friendship you always share. HAPPY NEW YEARS Titia, and to MUYS too!

Titia~
Okay, so I'm a little late, but I still LOVE this.
I have to say that the last one was my favorite too,
but they are all beautiful...both photos and words.
A belated Happy New Year to you, my friend.
I hope it's been a wonderful year so far.
Love and hugs to you,
~Vicky
