It is night again
and I am no glowing angel
cutting through the darkness
hands outstretched.
Nor am I waiting to save anyone
by tucking them way in my arms
while their eyes kiss the heavens they think I came from.
PUT THAT DOWN!
pedestals are in flight again
and with each beat of wing
they get too high
and my grip gets lost because the distance is too far to bear
when I finally turn human and crumple beneath the weight of adoration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here I am again
patiently soaking Vivaldi into my soul
thanking you for ever allowing me
the caress of his sound.
Funny how you can sooth me through him
even through the distance
that we could never scatter.
Beloved friend
I am soaking the comfort of memories
into my soul
while my ears sip the richness of the music
you gave me such love for.
I'll never be able to hear him
without thinking fondly of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is a transition
from gruff
to smooth
to heartbroken
head bowed in silent dispair
while words are again
my only solace during the heated moments in life.
A season has passed me
tiptoed almost
past my anger and confusion
scared of what wrath I might put upon it
had I actually tried and failed to enjoy it.
Down again
d
o
w
n
again.
Ensnared in the sink
and bent finally to the point
where I am hearing cruel snapping sounds
from the bones of my once strong peace.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~I Love You~~
You capture well
the half-thoughts
fluttering through eyes
as the music kisses yr ears.
That's what I got, anyway.
This is so beautifully written... a sad poem of love, but it was still love. It's good that you still love the music you shared with him.  I love music, too
Music can always sing what the heart feels.
Thank you.
Hi Temptress.
Interesting write, and music is magic, for it brings memories back.  Complex write of love and  emotions.
'while my ears sip the richness of the music'...nice.
Hugs.
A flow of emotions, I could almost hear the music in the background.
Release the pain, so you may love again.
Vivaldi, "Il prete rosso" as they used to call him. He had a great feeling for texture and melody, and it's something you can feel when you close your eyes and listen to his 'Harmonic Inspiration' and the rest of his works.
Thanks for mentioning Vivaldi. Thanks for sharing how you felt listening to his music.
WOW!!  Love the way your words become an emotional explosion--excellent!
Vivaldi and all his seasons. The violin and it's infinite variety. This verse and it's myriad emotions. Enjoyed
