Sleep is but steps away.  Yet, though the tired limbs
are heavy, laden with the day’s burden....a heart beats
ever strong within.   The wrought iron gate closes
slowly....effortlessly on hinges of a dreamer’s silk.

Each blink a step toward, each yawn a leap..
Jumping the chasm of nightmares, landing
effortlessly in a bed of woven dreams, stirring
slightly to the breeze among the moonbeams,
as crickets chorus and lightning bugs flit too
and fro in endless blink...

Lying back upon the feathers, eyes closed
as darkness comes....and dreams rally
around the Oak headboard, waiting to
hear the last sigh...before love walks
through the curtain of my mind...

Pleasant Dreams...

"before love walks
through the curtain of my mind.."

this is very soothing.. and feels that one awaits very expectantly for sleep, to dream of love...mmmmm.

Barry,

What a wonderful mind it is!

I like:

..."stirring slightly to the breeze among the moon beams..."

very nice... enjoyed this greatly.

Warm regards, Pat
