can't you see me
standing here,in front of you,
in full view,waiting,
empty again,
of the season of purple and red,
where you wove my golden thread,
and sang in the spring chorus,
with those that left us in this chill,
their homes, now vacant on my arms,
hollow sounds of summer memories,

i've stood here for you in a deluge of rain,
as the shelter beneath you,
now bestowed in a gift from the gods,
waiting for you to notice me,
looking pretty in winter white,
as i wait to be graced by your song,

wont you even look my way?
though i'm naked, old and withering away,
don't be afraid,
i am strong for you, a survivor,
as you soar above my yearning arms,
i wish you would take my hand,
come sit and watch tonights sunset
come sing for me,

and when you must leave,
i will be here for you, always, as before,
though my roots are weighted heavily
in the ground,
while your colors fly freely on the sky,
we are linked, together,in this emptiness,
forevermore

I like this part:
"though i'm naked, old and withering away,
don't be afraid,
i am strong for you, a survivor,
as you soar above my yearning arms,
i wish you would take my hand,
come sit and watch tonights sunset"

I've just joined in - am not a poet, really, but I love to read good, moving poems. Yours touches my inner me. Thanks.

thanks,
but i think it sort of sucks, on looking at it again,
but i was driving to work and saw the birds overhead, in arms reach of the tree, but not receptive to its love, and i sort of related

That's what it's all about~

We can't pull strings and love someone unconditionally at the same time!!!

I hope he knows how lucky he is!
