Sometimes
when things are weighing
heavy on my mind
it is then that I turn to you,
because there truly are those times
when I no longer know what to do.

Sometimes
my mind feels so jumbled
and there is so much inside
to share
again I come    to you
with all of my doubts
and fears       to bare.

Sometimes
you sit quietly    listening
with patience
you try to understand,
when the tears
are rolling down my face
your always there
to hold my hand.

Sometimes
when  the darkness
would   consume me
you are the light
that's helping me
to mend,
for you are
more than just     the sometimes;
in you I have found
my forever
friend.

I know that you can 'read' me
but can you  'hear'  "me"?

Donna, this is so special and touching. We all need a forever friend that we can depend on and lean on; no matter the circumstances.

This is beautiful. And we do all need a friend in ourselves. Hard to find sometimes, though.

I wanted to pop in quickly and thank everyone. Things are extremely busy for me at the moment with year end responsibilities at work which highly limits my time right now to be here.
Friendship comes in many forms, be it that you are friends with yourself, if you have someone special who you can call a friend in every meaning of the word, or even if your best friend is whatever God or Spirit you might have in your life......
but I truly believe that if we care for ourselves enough, we are never alone....
enough rambling already!
May all of your New years be blessed with many friends, and much laughter and love. Hugs to all!
