IS IT YOURS OR MINE?

You read my words,
Smile and criticize.
You tell me
That a lot of what I say
Is pure gibberish.
That I should say it that way,
Should change this word
For another which you believe
To be better,
And so on and so forth.
You are unable,
Or maybe unwilling
To understand,
That this is my passion,
My emotion,
My feelings and desires.
What is written on these pages
Is my heart and soul,
My insight,
My autograph.
If I change it
To meet with your approval,
I will have lost me
And been nothing more
Than a ghost writer
For you.

Keep it real in the sense that its yours... but, keep the door open. Just be careful who you let cross the threshold. At least that's how I look at it. Welcome to PIP.
