   ~~~~~~~~~~~
We are all the same
We really are
We pray for peace
And wish on stars.
We love to laugh
Yet too often cry
By the grace of God
We always get by.
We argue at times
With family and friends
But can't sleep a wink
Till we've made amends.
We miss our folks
Whether still here or not.
And other sweet souls
Who will not be forgot.
We want our children
To be honored and blessed
See our grandchildren smile
When life says we can rest.
We are all the same
Now can't you see?
When your heart beats -
It echoes through me.
Chris,  yes...we are...making the same
mistakes,  feeling the same anxious feels.
Crying the same tears of joy or sadness...
Loving each today as tomorrow as our sun
sets before each of us each day....
Beautiful, honest and true are your words..
Chris, this is SOOOO true. Why can't the world just realize this?
Maybe if everyone else in the world would get on the internet and
visit this place of Ron's called PIP, more people would realize
it. Don't you think??
Chris
With grace you have written a truth that  warms me, as I was just watching the news and felt so cold.  Thank you for this.
What a beautiful thought, Chris, I love this
The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn
"different", one from the other...
but as the heart beats,
Janet Marie - there aren't any stars out in Ontario to-night, the fog has blanketed them and they can go to sleep early in this part of the country. But, I will look up and wish on one for you anyway, that you will have happy and healthy New Year. Thankyou for reading and commenting.
Chris, this is just wonderful.
It brings to mind my children when they were teens and wanted to be so different and independent and yet, when I would look around at all the kids at the high school, you couldn't tell one from another!
Great job with your thoughts on this piece.
