I met you not knowing
(yet having a strange feeling)
that one day we might be joined
at the heart
that we would become best friends
and fall in love
two different lives
but two similar people

You're a good man
a good person
and a great father
something so hard to find
you dont make me guess
or wonder if your intentions are true
or if your love is real

You've given me a reason
to want to live and live my life well
you've given me more than I've ever had
you've shown me how to trust and love
without so much fear
you've given me stablity of the heart
and mind
something i've never had

I love you in a complete way
its calm and unquestionable
unconditional and neverending
its there without thinking or asking
and without you in my life
i'd be a glass half empty
a tree with no roots
a body with no soul

So no matter what happens in our lives
no matter the hard times
or the rough paths we end up on
remember that you are always in my heart
and that my love for you will prosper
