Cracked pavement and broken back
face up watching scattered feathers
spiral down like snowflakes in pursuit
of one who flew too high
Far from vacant eyes into
refuge of chiseled rock and stone
Caverns deep in mountains of Self
ancient scrawls and paint upon
walls offer no solace

Mirrors and clockworks
Mirrors and clockworks

Piercing vision through the dark
Ethereal and beautiful
refracting light off mirrors
in colors countless
An angels voice mutes the endless ticking
and I am drawn to my knees
She is life
she is love
And I am lost
until she is found

You know, one of my fondest movies
to watch, to "feel good" is "Michael".
This reminded me of that movie...
and for that, thank you!

Raph, this is very good. Different than what you usually write...more deep, or something. I like it....

Sunshine that's with Travolta right? Great movie I agree. The scene where he squares of with the bull is priceless.

Ethel i think what's confusing you is that I'm not being dark for once but rather am actually showing a rare glimmer of hope.

Inked this is based on a dream I had once, I have seen her face but I have not found her yet. She eludes me and until I find her I fear I'll never be complete.

Magnus you are way too kind sir. You've made my day and week!!!

Dixie no happy ending yet, I've yet to find her and thus I'm incomplete, but sometimes hope is all we have and its a beautiful thing too.

enjoyed the subtle passion weaved within your words!

Wonderful pondering in this piece, Aenimal. I enjoyed your introspection, and the positive feeling of hope in the end. Well done!

Best wishes,
/Kit

SHEESH! That part could fly alone for me.
Outstanding imagery, Raph. Thanks for the new library treasure.
