hold shift + semi-colon + 0
---------------------------
[for lauren, thank you]

--
as for now, i think i may tell some jokes, just so
you can 'lol' and send me
your smile

i don't really care if it's
fake, no--i don't really care ..
i just need to know you're there--somewhere.

why are you up so late and
what's your name?
you mind if we stay up
another three hours--maybe five, just so
i can blame you for my problems and
dream like strangers
dream of things impossible

and,

maybe after that, we could just sit there
and stare at computer
screens--only to realize how
big this room can get sometimes..

then--i wanna see you smile,
hold shift + colon + 0

because i wanna feel important, again.

who cares if it's fake.

maybe if newspapers were
written in pink comic sans ms
i would want to read it,
but i'd much rather prefer--
to read your bubble-gum talk
and your complaints
about how much of a bitch
your dad can be ..
chinese restaurant fiascos ..
of superstitions supernatural,
and wedding ring expectations
about you infatuation with
hollywood movies,
made-up constellations and
confessions that you would
only reveal in 2-minute
conversations with your Jesus.

why are you up so late
and what's your name--
would you mind if i took you home
tonight and kept you in my pocket,
because i never wanna let
go .. no, i never wanna let you go

hold shift + colon + 0

and

..
..
..

just like that, the world just
seems perfect again, perfect again.

---------------------------------------------
"and i dont want the world to see me
because i don't think that theyd
understand,
when everythings meant to be broken
i just want you to know"

[goo goo dolls]

WOW : )

I know how real words can be... even being typed from a unseen face. Your words are powerful & real also.  Enjoyed this a lot.

i was bored and depressed one nite,
it was a one time thing--that led to me
finding one of my closest friends.

that's all it was.

Chris, I liked your poem.
I've never been to a "chat room", and this is the first
"forum" that I've ever talked on. But, I've met some very
good friends on here, in just the short time I've been here.
I'm really glad that I decided to join-in on this forum. It gets
lonely here, sometimes, too, with Gary and I having a long-distance.
relationship. And, besides, I guess you can see that I just love to talk......

this had a lyrical quality about it, brought MB20 and Train to my mind...as well as the longing and emotional appeal that draws the reader in.
well done poet sir.

I read this a couple days ago but my mood wouldn't allow me to respond...lol.  Laughed at both of us for 'getting it'.  I really like the simplicity of your souls words.  Sometimes, it's not so hard to be happy, huh?
