Longer than forever, is a very long time to love It can only be done, when love is sent from above If this kind of love, intend to have, do we There are some agreements, on which we need agree From the very beginning, for this love to last We have to forget, the things of the past For whatever has happened, before we two met There's definitely not a lot, we can do about it We have to just think, what's happening now between us two If we accomplish this, then respect will be there, too This is very important, for our love to grow Growth comes not suddenly, but slowly built, as we both know Another important thing, is we need to remain friends Keeping communication open, having a ready ear to lend When some problem comes up, about it we should talk Not keeping feelings inside, then neither of us will walk If we will put forth the effort, to gain each other's trust Being always honest with each other, is an absolute must And this wonderful passion we share, we certainly can't forget To keep our love alive, these fires must stay lit To accomplish this, should be a real pleasure For now our desire for each other, is easily above measure For unconditional love we share, to last longer than forever Compassion, passion, trust with tenderness, we must always endeavor [This message has been edited by garysgirl (12-28-2002 12:45 PM).] |

I loved this poem Ethel, and I thought you might be interested to know there *is* a song called "Longer Than Forever". It's from the animated movie "The Swan Princess" soundtrack: For longer than forever, I'll hold you in my heart It's almost like you're here with me, Although we're far apart, For longer than forever, Like no love ever known And with your love I'll never be alone..." The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |
