Now it’s coming back again.
The fear
I hide within my skin.

A lack of faith, a stupid thing..
I’ll run next time I hear it ring.

I remember waiting
And sitting by the phone.

I now fear all people
For the news that they
Are prone
To bring to me
Within my shell.

I’m hidden,
And I hide so well.

Again, I know, I’ll hear that voice.
A whisper, crack and hoarsely
Chosen words which burn the soul.

I remember with the pounding
Of an unforgettable drum;
Which takes apart my mind

And my body is succumbed..
Unto the past of that overwhelming beat;
Which drowns the silence
Encompassing my heart’s repeating
Pain.

Since that time which the one
Who loved me left.
And now..
Now I’ll hear the drum
And now I’ll hear the call.

But I won’t listen..
To your voice,
Or to any news at all.

Thanks for reading for the replies.
Yea it is a painful one.
Death can be so surreal sometimes.
All because it is too real.

...Always, Alyssa
