Your turn (12/13/02, JDC) Getting through the day is such a hard thing to do Since the day I came in contact with you You sucked me in with your words and attention You stopped me in my tracks and gave me a new direction Then your interest seemed to wane You pretty words and loving touch just stopped and I became the bane Well, I wanted to let you know just what it is you did to me So listen very carefully You worked very hard in the beginning to make me love you Even though I told you its not what I wanted to do As soon as you saw that you had succeeded and I was lost You bounced and didn’t care about the cost So here I am, remembering your touch, your kiss, and your fingers in my hair And feeling like no one could ever compare You didn’t just hurt me, you destroyed my ability to trust What you did has left me in complete disgust Your obvious lack of sensitivity and emotion Has caused a new kind of devotion In the end you will be the one left with nothing but loneliness A feeling of abandonment and absolute emptiness See how you feel when it’s been done to you Tell me how it feels not to have what you pursue When your heart is bleeding from the rejection Tell me how you stand your own reflection |

Susan, you are getting it out, aren't you?!? Very well, too....  I noticed the date at the top of the poem (12/13).......Maybe you aren't "getting" it out, but have already "GOT" it out !!!!  "Love makes the world go around" |

In my own way, I understand this so well. I was thinking just last night that even though we suffer - there's no guarantee that the person who hurts us will end up lonely, or that we might actually find someone who we can trust and be happy with. That would all be too much like justice wouldn't it? Touching, and closely felt, write...  K~All my life I've been crazy |
