From the Past the Future is Cast 1

The dim filled the room
Giving the feel of twilight,
There red wine sipping thoughts were slipping
Dark as the December night,
That was ending soon.

Touching with perfume
Smell arrives before her sight,
Looking I raise brow giving a scowl
She takes the seat to my right
“You’re Professor Gloom”

It wasn’t a question,
And yet not quite a statement,
She had encroached the waiter approached,
Ordered tea for the moment
With hesitation.

She did not use words,
But divining was not hard
From her purse withdrew placing in view
The Knight of Swords** Tarot card
She did not need words.

The meaning was clear,
Knowing this declaration
Of a promise made giving of aid,
From a time of emotion
And a friend so dear.

Her eyes were intent
For a face of so few years,
The stern demeanor didn’t seem her,
But determined without fears,
Knowing what it meant?

“How come you by this?”
Touching the card with finger
Gazing into eyes for where truth lies,
Searching my gaze did linger,
“Tell me, I insist.”
