Autumn Ellen Lewis - (Born 12/26/02)

Tonight a child was born,
Life's first breath vivified.
From womb her essence shorn,
With mortals to abide.

Those eyes of innocence ~
A cherubim at rest,
Observe with hesitance
The world her entry blessed.

Her untouched canvas waits
To host a masterpiece
Of hues time's brush creates
From life-long verities.

Are infants' palettes clear?
An age none can recall.
What does she see and hear?
It seems she now knows all.

My artistry's her gain.
I'll sketch as I know best,
Add colors from life's main,
Yet she must paint the rest.

With years of strokes in blend,
Her portrait gathers form ~
Base tinctures of my tend
With shadows of life's storm.

To paint her future bright
Would be my fondest dream
To lend her shadows light
Engraving Sunshine's scene.

Well now, Nan,
It doesn't get any better than this. You super lucky lady! Bless you all.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Nan~
I just LOVE her, and I LOVE this poem too.
Written from the heart of a loving grandma,
and penned in the ink of 'you'.
She's a lucky little girl, to get to be your 'Munchkin'.
Hugs,
~Vicky

i feel sorry for her. she's born the day
after christmas so she's gonna get jipped
and get 1 presents for 2 occasion
[christmas and her birthday], shucks.

oh, i know, i was born on christmas. whew.
came to find out a lot of people like to
save money   .

good stuff. it's evidentally as honest
as you'll come to a poem. and she's just
a cute kid. don't squeeze her cheeks too
hard.

Larry - Martin - Sharon - Vicky - christian - Karilea - Nancy Lee

Thank you all for stopping by - I actually wrote this the last time I got a little bundled munchkin - Autumn deserves her own of course - Karilea and Vicky have helped me out there (thankee) - I'll write her own special version as soon as she gives me a free moment or two...

Grammy Nan, this is such exciting news and she is just a precious doll
with a fascinating name.

Please give her mom and dad a big hug from all of us here at Passions.

Kisses from Auntie Marti
