Like a seedling blown on the wind
Life controls where we go and have been
And for all the material gains
But a few treasures worth the remains

Through my fingers sift hours and days
On the sidelines to pale in the haze
And take stock of these few held so close
In review to be home coast to coast

All the while grown in meadow and mist
By the forces beyond human whist
And to tell every day by the deed
Strong to grow every plant put to seed

And within and without is the same
To be missed in resist of the rain
And remember in comfortable kind
I am home in my heart and my mind

..and ne'er more a treasured place to find
than to be at peace, in heart, and mind...

This was lovely, Kathleen.  Like the last little box in the toe of the stocking...

Thank you!

The portrait of you is a rolling plain,
with windblown wheat rolling in waves.  A
mountain stream wandering down through a
forested glen,  the wash of a gentle ocean's
wave against a sandy shore...the toll of the
horn of a lighthouse,  the sentinel...
keeping ships safe in the night...  all of
these things are you Kathy....So, wherever
you are,  beauty reigns...in and out of
your heart..

Merry Christmas my duet friend....
