Come

Come walk with me a fantasy
Upon a ship of argosy
And there we’ll ride the shadow waive
A phantom ship that holds the brave

A trip of non-reality
With pleasures of totality
A cruise within the sea of ID
The lifting of Pandora’s lid

There is no credit card to use
And nothing there for you to lose
Perhaps a windmill in a joust
A pleasant thought that you could roust.

It is a place of shadowed walls
A pleasant place of songbird calls
A place that lives within your soul
An ever-present living shoal

So why not while a lullaby
And dream you are a butterfly.

If I butter-fly onto your petal
would it then turn in to silvered metal?
Would you joust with me in my swift flight?
or simply wave the air, a magical Knight?

Would you lend to me your fantasy teas
as for summer days, roll back reality...

Smiling here.
Happy Holidays, Sy!

i do love nonreality, but i find i slip into it too often , at times, and no a credit card wont get you there, thankfully there are some places only the imagination could visit

"A cruise within the sea of ID
The lifting of Pandora’s lid"

What a great line, and I'm quite sure it would do just that!
Dream on, young man
This was a pleasure to read

Sy~
I just LOVE your poetry.
I really enjoyed your choice of words in this piece.
The fantasy became reality as I read.
