Christmas Twice as Bright
By Larry Chadwick
In memory of my daughter Ginger Michelle

There aren’t that many things that we control,
But this firm fact I will gladly here extol.
The wonderful thing about Christmas cheer,
Is that it comes no matter what the kind of year.

So let it come regardless of what may,
I’m more than ready for a Merry Christmas Day.
I’ll celebrate the birth of our dear Christ child,
Who entered our world so lowly, meek and mild.

I'm thankful for all the hope that he brings,
Filling my heart with joy of which I sing.
I smile as I recall my own dear child today,
Who always loved me come what may.

Now my future looks twice as bright,
As I contemplate such hope tonight.
I look forward to seeing both of them someday,
What better reason to celebrate a Merry Christmas Day.

December 20, 2002

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry - The angel choir sounds a little bit sweeter and the stars are shining brighter this blessed Christmas eve, as our losses have become heaven's gain. Dear poet, have a Merrry Christmas & a healthy, happy New Year. hugs, Chris

You're an amazing man, Larry - The losses and gains of this year have surely been extraordinary... Your outpouring of love and support in the midst of your own personal tribulations is what these Passionate walls are built upon.  Merry Christmas and God Bless....
