There's someone in the dark.
She's waiting just behind,
her normal waiting place.

She's looking forth and back;
her fingers wont relax,
as the air bites every fingertip.

Through every break in the wind,
she concentrates her senses.
Willing an end to this test.

She lights a cigarette,
and looks upon the flame.
A flare for distress in dark expanse?

Swallows back the ache in her eyes.
Kissing the wind with her cloudy breath,
laughing to think how she even tried.

She already knew.
That he wouldn't search further than,
what he already knows.

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

thanks for your replies. thank goodness, it was a sad old memory dug up from past experience. and for some reason i wrote about it again. perhaps as a thankyou to god, for sending me someone who truly cares about me! thanks again. i love to read your caring, thoughtful replies. they mean so much.
