Thorns of our Day

I stepped upon a thorn today
A stem and rose of yesterday
And pain took option on my mind
For a long past deed of unkind

It came to me in symbol form
Like lightening of a thunder storm
That pierced my heart and mind as one
For I’d forgotten it was done.

But no matter the time and shield
What goes around comes to yield.
And there will come a day and prey
When you simply can’t look away.

So keep you from a thorny path
Or you will bath an acid bath
A one that wets you through and through
There is no towel can dry the true.

A common rule on a common shelf
Do unto others as you would yourself

Please email this to Balladeer..my thorn for the day...will ya?...I woke up this morning, in a "Christmas spirited" kind of mood....found that Santa poem my "Thorn" left for me.....now I'm in a devilish mood again....(Besides, everyone knows I can't be Santa...especially when you see the picture of Santa peeing in the snow)....my letters would be MUCH larger and in Old English!!!

Seymour darling heart, truly one of your best, you are so right, or I hope you are that what goes around comes around.

Truer words have never been penned
As your words are written, but then
No other writer has the gift
The wheat from the chaff to sift
Little nuggets of golden lore
Fall from your pen Oh wise Seymour
And I’d gather these pearls of know
I’d wash my soul in this pool like so
To learn the secrets that let you fly
Over the world and across the sky
Don’t leave my soul in ignorance
Give me that which lets me dance

I love this utterly utterly utterly, one of your best my friend

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

If that's an offer, I'll take it!!! LOL It might not make HIS Christmas merry, but it sure would make mine glorious! LOL Just let me know what time... I'll meet you in the parking lot so Randy doesn't accidentally scorch the roof! *G*

Sharon,
Thank you my dear, you do me honor and it humbles me to know you would do this.
May all your shadows walk lightly on your path of time.
