Las Vegas witch doctor
In sweat lodge spectacle
Throwin’ bones
In the open field
To reap reward
Upon his transitory tribe
For five on seven
Will get you ten
Given the right read
Yet, Fate won’t chance it
To roll them bones just so
When the cobra strikes
With pin-point poison

Beware the bite

Mr. Scott... It's so good to see you here on the blue pages once again. *S*

And yes... danger lurks behind the brightly colored lights. *S*

Scott

Good to see you, my friend.  There are many games, the one of life is hard enough to win.  Interesting poem.  Blessings to you and yours this Holiday.

Greetings and salutation dear ladies.  Thanks for looking in and saying howdy.  Yep, it's been a while since last I roamed these poetic halls of blue.  Got lost for a while in the forest of life... nothing like going to Vegas and loosing it all, but damn close.  Lets just say Fate has been throwing dice that are less than warm and fuzzy. I'm still in the game and I hope to be spending more time amongst you all.  Happy holidays and Peace to everyone.

I am graced indeed when the Lady Hoot looks my way.  Thanks for the fly-by, for it is good to be seen by poetic friends of yore. Peace to you.

Dear 'Drew, it's been far too long since your prensence graced these pages blue, but it's really good to see you again. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Here's your present... always winning dice. One of the Justins gave them to me and we know you can use them.

Always a pleasure to see your name, Sir Andrew! Forget them snakeeyes. They don't call it craps for nothing.

A very merry Christmas to you and yours

For some reason I got this image of our Cpat and his bones here. LOL, and I don't have the foggiest idea what he looks like, nor you either!
Happy holidays, think I'll stay away from Vegas.

Enjoyed your twist on "the gamble."

Gives me a roulette idea . . .

Thank you one and all… There are few pleasures better than being seen and greeted by the likes of ya’ll.  I’m hoping to hang around these blue pages a little more often than in this past year.  I appreciate all the well wishes and words of friendship.  Peace to you all and a happy new year.
