trees begin,
along the winds journey,
scattered seeds bring forth
childhood dreams,
captives of fate,
too soon, they separate
as seasons go round the circle,
friendships renew again,
branches reach and caress,
reveal truths of time's passing,
too soon they become only shadows again,
a mere cover for rooted connections,
forever embedded deep beneath
earth's superficial gate

I love this, it circles 'round in my head.
I'm keeping it, to re-read again later. Thank you.

I found this rather comforting to read.

Thank you,

The opening here was so thoughtful,
loved this...
you carry the metaphor through with a gentle meandering of cyclic life that suits my mood beautifully tonight.
The final metaphor of earth as materialism was exquisite.

Felt myself hit the ground. Smile.

(time to end the solstice, eh?)

I guess it's time to put down the magic wand...
grin.

Thanks for this.

Her friend does love this. Her real friend not the flaky imitation kind. Finding an old friend is like finding a lost treasure and I am glad I got to polish my treasure again!
