* * *

The signs weren't always clear
Although I thought our love was stable
But I failed to heed the warnings
That were written on your label

Warm winds that once embraced me
Now chill me to the bone
As I walk along the shore
Feeling sad and all alone

You used my love completely
For me, you did not care
Now you've left me for another
My heart and soul lay bare

One day I'll love another
And once again I'll walk this shore
By then you'll be a faded memory
Part of the life I knew before

* * *

I should point out that this was
not written about me or anyone
else in particular.

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Very nice. I'm sure there is a 'real' person who could relate 100% to this one, Glad it isn't you.

(sad sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

well the heartache and strength sounds so vivid that it's hard to believe that it didn't come from personal experience...Sue, wonderful write, and so many can relate.

Sue darling heart this is wonderful and you are an incredible writer, yes, you are you know, and it is in the realms of dreams where your touch stirs me most. One of your most dazzling arts is that you show the picture colour the canvas and shine the light. You know I love this, I love it utterly utterly utterly. And I thank the Lord it is not written from personal experience

Inside the dream of make believe its true
I found a thought that strayed of you
I wasn’t aware it had stayed on
Like the notes of yesterday’s song
It wasn’t the truth how could it be
You never gave the truth to me
All I had was a froth of fairy tale
A never story that was cold and pale

Within the depths far from light
There a memory stark as night
It has no place of worth in me
I haven’t kept it especially
A thought that’s all a thought of this
An memory of a cold kiss
No reason for it to stay with me
I don’t need its iced memory

There in a whisper I hear you
A puzzle that tastes of rue
I hear the voice of deceit and guile
That wrapped me in bubbles for awhile
When they burst you were gone
You’d left to sing another’s song
All that’s left is that lost memory
And I know it could scar me

I let it lie in that abandoned place
I don’t want its touch nor its cold trace

Marsha

Excellent writing my dearest friend, take care and peace and love to you

Love and warm stuff
as always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Wow, Sue. I love your poem. And then on top of it I got a good one from Marsha, too. I'm lucky sometimes!
