Give me victory or give me death
This one thought a muttered breath.
Waging the war of words in jest.
Letting you win, for this is best.

You sit there with those raisey eyes
wondering about the next surprise.
I slam one at ya, you duck away.
Oh my, gonna be loosin’ this day.

The ball is served with tender care
in hopes that your mitt won’t be there.
The slice that spins away from you
Oh my, what is a girl gonna do?

You lead the way with the beads
cause to lose, your mouth feeds.
I serve another, a certain miss,
what was that, a horrid hiss?

The match is now within my grasp
is that your lungs flowing in rasp?
The old man serves another ace,
can you dear girl, maintain his pace.

I surely did have some fun with it
for now I lounge back as you sit.
The priest in overtime as you cry
Oh me, oh my, the pie and cream

ARE IN YOUR EYE!!!!!!!

Barry,

I love this. Interesting. Re-read many times and come up with different meanings, layerings, each time. Whoa!
Hmmmmmmm! Puzzling, perplexing, and pleasing...makes me smile...nothing like a good game!

Hugs and warm regards, Pat

Ya think ya got the stuff to stuff
me into the drink with powderpuffs.
You girls, you gather in a throng
hoping you’re right...and not wrong!!

The old man sits here patiently
waiting to see what he might see.
Those women they gather in mass
but all they are is just hot gas!!!

Fire when ready Freddie
for the ball has been served.
I don’t think you’re all ready
your vehicle is drunk and just
SWERVED....

Stick around Nan,  maybe they will muster
together and attempt a futile attempt to
take the old man out...

Their lipstick was all proper
Their pantyhose was in place.
They thought that I would suffer
after this, a lopsided race...

The referee cried and called
out those words for all to hear.
A rumble before their stumble
as I'm laughin'... sheddin' a tear!!

What are those ladies doing???  Sleeping??

Hey Barry......VERY, VERY INTERESTING....

HeeHee!!!!    We women just might be slow in seeing that it's a game at times, but look out when we do realize it's just a game.....we don't like getting "pie in our eye"  !!!!!!!!
Isn't that right, ladies???

Oh My...my brain in wonder
fights to catch Barry in blunder
yet he tosses balls around
like snowballs cold and very round

I'm lost for finding words at play
and smiling at this little frey
but snicker this and whining that
I just can't figure where I'm at

Their nails they were trimmin
for the battle of the year.
The popcorn was a poppin,
the boys bringin' the beer.

The girls they were gigglin'
thinking old Magnus is lame.
But it ain't he that's leavin'
for words are his strong game.

Now ladies don't ya give in
and run away on your toes.
Just cinch that girdle tighter
and check for runs in your hose.

I don't think that Barry knows
that I really hate to wear hose
but when it comes to writing rhymes
we women are poets divine!

Oh what now is this I see
Barry is aiming a snowball at me,
but try as though he might
he will never win this fight!

Watch now as he hides his head in shame..
for he shall NEVER win this game!!

said to him by a dame
of TD a silly name..

He sits here waiting
and laughing real hard
for he is the word king
the silver tongued Bard.

Ya girls are gonna lose,
so please just sit back
I will come and knock
wake you from your snooze!!!!

Donna dear,  you cannot compare
to this old man with sparse hair.
The game is played by me all day
and I hate to tell ya,  NO WAY.

You can join the weaker of sex
and try to drop me with a hex.
I have my armor well in place.
So,  Donna,  dear lady...
Why don't you quit...

Donna....

The ace you held was a club.
But dear heart, this is spades...
I trumped your card, what a flub
and you ran away on roller blades..

Ya gotta come with a full deck
of cards if ya wanna play my game.
Dealin and wheelin a bushel, a peck
cards or corn,  their all the same.

For corn is poppin,  eatin it now
as I wait for you all to reply.
I think I will nap as you bow
most humbly to the king, that's I..

I sit here on my throne
as you do all the dishes.
Gnawing off a steak bone,
granting all my wishes.

A throne is but for one
who wins the chosen game.
And above it written
will be only my name.

A king and his court sit
here watching you miss.
A foul and not a hit
as simple as just this.

So, come on ladies
don't you be shy.
Old Mag. awaits you all...

He sit and waits, twinkly eyed
to see you stumble and fall...

And now you see her turning tail
says she must go, but will be back.
I have to say,  that without fail
this is the end of her attack.

The game was short as predicted
cause the girls got a broken nail.
Old Mag. now leaves,  undefeated,
as they go away,  tucking tails...

30 love..

But I'll be back here to play
My mouse, messing up, I don't know why

(giggles in delight) Oh Barry, I can just imagine you tucking your head in the corner as though you're really scared muttering:

"No, Archduke Ferninand is wrong, my claim to the throne is indisputable!"

LOL! (smiles) Seriously, this sure is one big fencing match, sweet friend, I just love reading all these responses, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Oh Ethel,  I know the cause
for the predicament you see.
It is simply doggie paws
instead of fingertips free.

Ya gotta kick outta the house
the dog and cat and the kid.
And don't be afraid of the mouse
that I sent to you instead.

The game is young as are you
and a rookie team you bring.
The wage in up, three for two
and we are about ready to sing.

A victory song will be heard
within the camp of the men.
You gals will become the bird
on the platter, stuffed and thin.

And when the new year does arrive
upon the pages of Passions Blue.
Old Mag. the only one to survive
will toast a brew to all of you!!

Sir Magnus,

I send you fair warning of the PIP Women.  You seemed well armed and armored but do not underestimate their ability to wage war.  Take it from one who has sat on Passion's insanity thrown and fought word wars in forums of single digits.  All the same, enjoy the game.

Dear man I think that its so sad.
Don't you realize that you've been had?
The game has not yet been won
your kingly throne WILL be undone.
Oh no there was no tucking of tails
I just can't stand to hear a grown man wail.
I've been preparing in case again you strike
or add a player by the name of Mike.
Oh that's right, you know him as Deer
sometimes we women gotta make things clear.
So I'll eat my cake, while you eat gruel.
Gotcha! Passions Ladies RULE!

Game, set, match...is all it takes?
Baby, c'mon, let's eat cake!
How simple for a man, dethroned,
to act as if he's tired and worn...

seems to me your muscle ache
is nothing that a nap and break
won't cure, and besides, it's all in fun...
Game, Set, Match...and it's only round one.
