I hope the broken glass below can break my fall.
I'm falling like a star, will I ever again rise like the sun?
I see the broken glass, pieces of my broken life.
Glissening in the sun, reminding me of my errors along the way.
The shadow gets smaller as I get nearer to the ground.
Like my emotions after this lifetime of pain and struggle.
Callaced over, I wonder when I will fell again.
I hope that it is before I hit the bottom, for that will only be pain.
Perhaps it is better not to feel in a time such as this.
Feelings only cause anguish, the bad out-weigh the good.
I feel the ground nearing, as a tumble though the air.
The sound of emptiness, echos through my straining ears.
I feel free, but it is only because I am about to die, I think.
I am thirsty, but my thoughts are so dry too.
I need it to rain again, so that my life is no longer in drought.
But that will not happen, becasue I forgot, it never rains in hell.

Well I certainly see what you are trying to convey here. Just a thought though ... as you plummet wouldn't the shadow get bigger ??

... and they sent him home happy ... one hundred percent.
