Taken to my knees, struggles put to rhyme and booked
Sometimes sent in messenger, when longer since I looked
These times that I still cannot cry are there to rediscover
And hold the weeping child a tender blossom to uncover

For there upon the pages shall I see most vulnerably
Reliving those emotions penned in pain and victory
To see with wonder every tiny touch and shuddered cry
And take within my arms and rock the innocent of I

These parts that no one knows of so fragile and so fair
Among the ribbons and the wounds a china white despair
For here the child nurtured, and here the woman loved
And merged in genuflection lion hearted softly doved

Taken to my core, to hold so well this infant self
The first of generation, the last of prophet’s shelf
This coming of conviction, as time and space confound
And swaddle understanding of my world my arms around

Whether it is read to protect the child inside of us, or the child in our arms, there is such a need to keep the innocent qualities present in our life.  There is far too much harshness, and so much to appreciate, if we cultivate innocence.  Stunningly beautifully written, Kathleen.
My best, always,
Jeff

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is so very touching, I believe we should all embrace the world with innocence as unconditional love is what makes the world go round! (sigh) Always listen to the girl in your heart, sweet friend, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kathleen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

ThisDiamond,

I think your best. But, I usually think that with each new one you share with us.

I especially like:

"...lion-hearted softly doved..."

Enjoyed greatly.

Warm regards, Pat

I feel like this every time I read my diaries from when I was younger; I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing!

Your poetry speaks to me and comforts every corner of my heart.  I am grateful to you for all that you bring to these blue pages with your feathered quill on golden pen.

Exquisite writing and so very meaningful to me.  Thank you always~

TD

Such tenderness can heal.  In just reading it I feel the wrap around of something very good that cannot be blown out.
