Hello poets, it is good to be back home, i have been awayfrom home for almost six months for the National Guard, now that all my training is done, I can try to write freely again here.  I hope to see some interesting poetry just like when I left.  Merry Christmas to all and a Happy new Year.

"This Long Journey"
by Randy Meador

Long...
I've been away for much too long
In the end though
The journey will changewho I am
A chance to find my real self
Long have I lived as the image of another
It's time for change as this is getting old

I'm sick of being
I'm sick of pretending
I'm sick of living this way
'Cause when I try to be myself I am still someone else
This is far too long
This is far too hard
The journey seems to never end.

I don't know how to endure this
The pain of time is torture on my head
The scarring of this memory is bold
It just cannot be controlled

I'm sick of being
I'm sick of pretending
I'm sick of living this way
'Cause when I try to be myself I am still someone else
This is far too long
This is far too hard
The journey seems to never end...

a life lived unexplored is a life not worth living.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Randy, I'm so happy you're back, I have missed you so much and hope your training went alright! (sigh) Life is but a meandering path but in the heart of it all lies a purpose, and He has a plan for us all so know you are in Good Hands! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, you will find what you're looking for soon enough, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Randy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

that's when you finally get moving...when you're sick of it all

this reminds me of a poem I wrote called Cocoons. The cocoon squeezing so tightly when it's outgrown and then finally you have to do something to bust out...and you change to a butterfly.

Welcome back! I hope you stay awhile this time.
