Good Fortune

She was so soft and slender I was
afraid the strong mountain winds would
blow her over the Pala Lookout.
So I watched over her and kept
her close to me.
She was so elegant that the flora
and the flowers and the trees in the
Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens embraced
her in peaceful reverance as if to set
any worries in her mind free.
She was so beautiful that the good
spirits of the Byodo-In Temple
welcomed her with soft hugs and
sweet kisses of admiration.
On the temple grounds the peacocks
sang her romantic songs and yearned
for her affection.
In the reflecting pool the carp
moved into position for her attention.
The Great Buddha smiled abundantly
as she meditated at his gate
and the five foot brass bell rang
loudly to proclaim the good fortune
that was to be her fate.

Hello James

This was so lovely and as I was reading I could almost smell the frangipani flowers and see the beautiful blooms of hibiscus, one of my favourite flowers.

Wishing you much love and happiness throughout Christmas and the New Year.

Take care......Sue
