I look out my window and see the leaves falling softly to the ground.
I envy them because I did not fall so soft when I fell for you.
I know that we all must love and lose, but why did I lose you?
What can I do to regain my footing and be yours once again?
I fell from your love, but I did not fall out of love for you.
I wish that I could fly with these wings that you gave me.
But they are chained to you, as you still have my heart.
The leaves float down to the earth to join my thoughts.
My thoughts are no longer above and at ease like when I was yours.
My heart is drowning in the tears that have slowly formed an ocean.
Soon enough I will be out of my misery and out of your mind.
Alas though, I am already out of your mind, which is why I am dead.

Such a sad first write.  Welcome to Passions, where you will find there is much to read, and explore, and study!  Please, check your E-mail for a Special Greeting!

Welcome to Passions.  Hope to see more of your works.
Emotive first write, seeped in sadness.  Chin up, within the ocean, hope will surface...

WELCOME  TO  PASSIONS

Lukey-D

I hope you enjoy it here. this is a wonderful place to join in with a
"family of friends".

This was a very emotional first post, with lots of heart in it. It was very
beautiful, but also very sad. I hope that you feel much better soon, because
the hurt seemed to be very strong. I look forward to reading more of your poetry.
Good luck and best wishes.

"Alas though" sounds a bit laboured, but otherwise, this poem has the potential to be the starting point for more poems excelling what's been expressed here. Thanks for letting me participate in this.

Welcome to Pips. I enjoyed these falling leaves, though I doubt you enjoyed the fall.

thats going into my poetry book, no
contest.

i'll tell you what though, the poem started
out strong--brilliant. but, to me, it
just zigzagged downhill. i dont blame
you. those first two lines are
masterpeice.
