Some notes
Are too low to hear
And can only resonate
Somewhere deeper than
The center of us

I have felt such songs
As those sung in tree trunks
When gales lash the tops
Stripping away the dead and weak

They hunger grumble in stomach
Shaking bowels and heart
With tension wired release

I thought of you today
And remembered
Some notes are not music
But touch us
anyway

Smiling...
at all of the underlying
tension

Holding my ear to the ground....I have heard those rumblings before and been touched by some not so musical notes.

Wow! I like the way you played this.

Sunshine.. thank you dear friend...for the comments, and for feeling the tensions underneath

Salty... thank you. Guess sometimes the things too low to be heard are felt the most...

Suthern... who says you don't write worth diddly other than you? and... even if you didn't who says that has anything to do with what I wished for you... words are not always written...and if you must write them, write them in the marrow of the one you care for..and so softly they tickle the skin as if done with feathered part of quill..
but most of all... live them and show them

I am going to stick with the surface meaning of this gem---the singing trees. This is where my enjoyment lies in this clever write.

I want to go out to the lake right now and hug a tree and have it whisper in my ear and feel its strength.

warm hugs,
EA

Ron,

I like this a lot. But, I, for one need my foundation shaken occasionally to get rid of the dead and weak parts of myself, if I listen to intent and not consider how low the grumble. Of course unless it's a nut tree...
smiling hear....(not a misspell)....

Warmest regards, Pat

sometimes the low notes override and you just have to listen to them, not try to shake them off all the time......everything passes

this does resonate; its nice to be an airhead sometimes, but how would you grow, then again, you may not care either

( chuckling) I am not at all sure what you intend here..are you saying I am an airhead... and that I don't care if I grow or not?  If so... then I have to tell you you are a first..to call me airhead. ( laughing) a title I have never worn..although I have worn others less suited for public forums..and many less kind than this... SO... certainly if it is what you mean no offensee is taken...

Ron,

You are, IMO, going through the growth of a poet. Your work is blossoming and opening up like a magnolia.

a very wise man I once knew spoke of "tree thunder" in the context of cleansing and a naked truth, these words seem to describe it perfectly--enjoyed this..a lot!!

good, but when u come down, it sucks, and
she may not grow, but if it stays up in the clouds permanently, she may not know it...............well, talking of airheads, i think i have to bleach my roots soon, the
smart color is overriding the blonde bimbo
the last few days........its a yin/yang thing?can u dig it?

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, but perhaps there is an inaudible melody within such a sound that only you alone can interpret and find your own dance to! (sigh) Your words always resonate such invention, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Capt. Ron, sometimes I have trouble getting out what I feel way down deep inside. I think you have no trouble at all doing just that......you just aren't ready to let everyone  "hear"  what's inside yet.
Do you know what, though, my sweet friend........ If someone listens closely enough, they can hear the "lowest sound" in a person heart, even if it's just a tiny, soft, whisper.............

Now, this big mouth didn't really intend to say all that, I just felt it, so I blurted it out. It may be completely different than that.... in fact, I do see a lot of playful mischief in you...especially in your replies.

I always love to read your poetry, because I know it will be excellently written, Mr. Capt. Ron........

I seem to be speechless at the magnificence of this piece.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
