The Real Me

A part of me is missing
And I know what it is
It’s my heart
It’s been ripped out
And will never be back again

I feel this way because I have loved
And I have never loved before
I will never love again
For I don’t like this pain
A pain I cannot bare

I wish it would all just come to an end
All the pain and heart throb
Never come back again
I want it gone from my emotions
So I will not feel
I will just block people from seeing me
The me, the one that no one knows
That’s right
The real me

Nothing like the pain of a good heart rip,
After a few times it becomes more bearable,
But it always grows back to be ripped again.
Very good first post, full of emotion,
Enjoyed this

one can not hide the heart forever...somewhere someday it will be touched again and you will know it still beats, it still feels love, it still needs another...

Welcome to this forum, Stan. This is a very excellent first post here. You wrote with very much feeling and emotion. I hope to read much more of your poetry.
That's all I'll say (right now, anyway), because I don't know you well enough to know if this is from personal experiences.

Welcome to Passions! A home of kindred spirits who love writing and reading poetry!

Perhaps if people got to know the "real" you, true love will find its way to you.

it sounds emo, oh no, are you an emo child?
god forbid, :smirk: no, actually--i liked
it, for some reason it kept me into the
read. i think 'cause you can feel emotions
oozing int it. not too shabby, not too
shabby.. *** and a 1/2. [out of *****]

Know how you feel man, but don't give up on love, as Forrest Gump said his mama always said that "life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna get". You never know, there might be destiny working her magic to make another Ontario woman fall for you.
Here is the constructive bit. "Bare" is not the right word in the sense that this poem is trying to use it. "Bear" would make it more legible. Hope that helps. Thanks very much for letting me participate in this genuinely emotional poem.
