Softly dawn, through linen veils
Touches air on silken sails
Navigated deepest seas
Kisses flutter gentle breeze

Said in satin sleek as rain
Slipped off covers smooth terrain
Nurtured whispers spelled in trance
Hearts together close in dance

Christmas magic velvet red
Fireside enchantments said
Wrapped in tinsel smiles wide
Love like snow falls soft inside

Candy apple sweet and dear
Nibbled treat from ear to ear
Stars exploding as we see
Gifts exchanged beneath the tree

Now unwrapped, the well uncapped
Rivers running spirits tapped
Whipped cream toppings sweet to trim
Smiles exalted Santa’s whim

Crackling fire glowing low
Underneath the mistletoe
Once upon a Christmas night
Gifts to treasure by the light

I love reading the way people feel about the holidays...me, I don't much care about it personally...but it's nice to see it's still alive
