On My Way

Heard the greatest true story ever told
A child was born and rose as told
Found the meaning of song in love me tender
And discovered a great voice did surrender
Watched in awe another step for mankind
In a faraway field glowing celebrating the mind

Read of a hunger striker liberate 300 million
A one man battle across salt lakes, a legend
Told of a genius and the atom bomb
As the vast expanse of relativity made a tomb
Cried trying to understand the gas chamber
And the evil of the greatest mass murderer

Amidst the struggles from failed ideologies
Truth revealed of leaders from long marches
Fallen heroes, battered children, shreaded dignity
Amongst slums a tender hand patched up the misery
Still along the way I am travelling to no avail
And wonder how wrecklessness and sorrow will travel

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
