This was written after a time in life when I felt hopeless, but a healing took place...and I am thankful to be where I am today.
------------------------------------------------

Dreams falling in the middle of the day
Thoughts of quick sand sinking
A shattered feeling of lost content
Hopeful tomorrows weeping.

Cleanse your soul of poison now
Reach for forgotten goals
Yesterday left the scars unhealed
Today is all I hold.

Chalk board heaven right at hand.
Traces of my image gone.
Mirrors cast a spell on me
When did things go wrong?

Shadows dance in the dark I’m told
Winter’s breath is cold
Summer brought peace for me
This road I’ll pave with Gold.

Smiling back at yesterday
My soul starts to sing
Strength gathered in my hand
This prisoner … I have released.

In the Midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.

nice write. healing is wonderful! I don't know about shadows dancing in the dark, I guess there would be no way to find out for sure. It's nice to wonder though.

I do wonder if shadows dance in the dark? I think I questioned a lot of things. Still don't know all the answers, but sure like believing in a little magic. *S*

WEll I guess you came in while I was responding.  I didn't see you there...but I do thank you.  The healing was the best and I do thank God for miracles. I also thank him for giving me you as a sister.

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I know this feeling ever so well for I too used to be depressed all the time because I was abused and felt no one loved me and almost killed myself, but then I felt Him push me back and now I have turned to Him too and healed and believe that is how I have become who I am! (kiss on cheek) You are a true angelic friend, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Salty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Sweetie, I am so glad you didn't get carried under by the quicksand. That sinking feeling is just dreadful.

it's that kind of "feeling" poem, the type that makes you want to reach out and comfort... that's good, it means you got across the emotion. brava.
