Turn Of Key

skies have all
turned gray
now that you
are away
never before noticed
the sorrow in rain
that cried out
in pain
an ache in me
that now exists
emptiness in echo
bouncing off of one I miss
love had shielded
sheltered this heart
your arms kept
them apart
I listen for
the turn of key
sound bringing
you back to me

I agree, deeply, painfully emotional.

Of all I've lost; I miss my innocence  the most.

This is very true. They don't have to be gone long, for me to feel this way. One over-night, out of town business meeting...yes, it doesn't take long to miss someone with whom  you have a loving relationship....You captured the feelings well.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Helen, my heart goes out to you, sweet friend, it can be such a desperate feeling and it can feel so eerie! (sigh) I wish this comfort of love to always fill you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I like the way the unpunctuated words attain an unfettered appearance, like a sprouting tree.
